AUTEUR has been accepted by Crowd Supply, a curated crowdfunding and distribution platform owned by Mouser Electronics (Berkshire Hathaway). This is not a generic crowdfunding platform — it's a hardware business partnership.
Why This Changes the Strategy
The original GTM plan targeted Kickstarter. Crowd Supply replaces it with significant advantages: guaranteed Mouser house order (doubles production volume), complete fulfillment handling, manufacturing through Soldered Electronics (who built the Zerowriter Ink), post-campaign permanent storefront, and international distribution via Mouser. The higher platform fees (~25.75% vs. Kickstarter's ~11%) are offset by the Mouser house order revenue, eliminated fulfillment costs, and ongoing distribution.
What Crowd Supply Provides
Mouser House Order
If AUTEUR sells 500 units to backers, Mouser will likely purchase ~500 additional units at wholesale. This doubles the production run, lowers per-unit COGS, and generates revenue with zero platform fees. Mouser continues restocking after the initial order.
Full Fulfillment
Crowd Supply handles picking, packing, shipping carrier labeling, inventory storage, labor, insurance, tracking numbers, and logistics-related customer support. All included in the fee structure.
Soldered Electronics Manufacturing
Manufacturing through the Soldered Electronics Inkubator in Osijek, Croatia — the same facility that built the Zerowriter Ink. They have e-paper expertise, 200+ products manufactured, 250,000+ units shipped to 85+ countries. FCA Croatia incoterms: Crowd Supply handles importing.
Post-Campaign Distribution
Campaign page becomes a permanent product listing on crowdsupply.com. Successful campaigns get carried and distributed internationally by Mouser Electronics and downstream distributors. Non-exclusive — AUTEUR can also sell DTC after products are delivered.

Key Contract Terms
Exclusivity During Campaign
Between SoW signing and product delivery to Crowd Supply, all sales/pre-sales limited to crowdsupply.com only. After delivery, other channels (DTC, Amazon, etc.) open up. If campaign fails, restriction lifts immediately.
Update Cadence Required
During campaign: minimum 1 public update/week. After campaign: minimum 1 update/month until fulfillment complete. One month before delivery date: must publicly confirm whether date will be met.
FCA Croatia Incoterms
Crowd Supply handles importing from Croatia (Soldered Electronics) to US warehouse. They pay tariffs, freight, insurance. DDP option available later for 10% lower crowdfunding fee if you want to handle importing yourself.
Partner Approval Rights
AUTEUR has explicit approval/rejection rights on all public messaging — video storyboard, script, text copy, and images. Nothing goes public without sign-off.
Phase 2: Live Crowd Supply Campaign
Crowd Supply campaigns are all-or-nothing (like Kickstarter). Campaign duration is mutually decided with Crowd Supply. Your VIP list and Meta ads fuel the launch; Crowd Supply's newsletter, social, and website promotion run in parallel; weekly updates are required.
